“I started frkd. because I’ve always believed that food is about so much more than what’s on the plate — it’s about connection, community, and stories.

As a writer (and food lover) I kept meeting farmers and makers doing incredible, hopeful work — and realised their stories weren’t being told in the way they deserved.

So I created this magazine as a way to share those stories and bring people a little closer to the places and people behind what they eat. If frkd. helps even one reader feel more connected, more curious, or more inspired to support their local food systems, then it’s done its job.”
